New Wind Counseling

Ella Walker Henderson, M.A., LPCS, CEDS-C is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist-Consultant through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and is in-network with BCBS. She is the owner and founder of New Wind Counseling. She works with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and PTSD and is trained in the integration of faith into counseling sessions. She received her B.A. from Furman University in Psychology, and her M.A. in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, GA.

Ella Walker became a counselor because she is passionate about helping women to believe they are created with strength, dignity, and beauty.  She grew up in South Carolina’s lowcountry and loves being outside, especially on the water.  Much of her time is spent chasing after three children, who keep her on her toes or more literally pushing cars around her yard. She loves spending any free moments reading and writing.

Laura Jean Beauvais, M.P.H, M.A., LPC is a licensed professional counselor and is in-network with Cigna and BCBS. For more than 30 years, she has worked in the field of adoption.  Based on her experience, she knows firsthand the issues children face when they have had prenatal drug and alcohol exposure, early neglect and abuse, multiple moves, or institutional care before being placed with their adoptive parents.

As a Theraplay Foundational level practitioner Laura Jean uses Theraplay, which is an evidence-based modality for children who have experienced trauma and have attachment-related issues, to work with the whole family in bringing support and healing.  She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional as well as a Trust-Based Relational Intervention practitioner.
